Erno Laszlo
Dr. Erno Laszlo was the pioneer of custom skin care. His work with movie stars, the social elite and monarchy members around the world is legendary—Marilyn Monroe and Jackie Onassis were reportedly fans, and his skin care products still have a huge and passionate following. In collaboration with KVD NYC, we took to modernizing his famed legacy and gave the Erno Laszlo marketing collateral a SKAGGS-style facelift. This resulted in a rejuvenated marketing piece that retained its classic good looks, yet feels contemporary.
Strategy
In terms of strategy, we were very much ‘Standing on the Shoulders of Giants,’ working with Erno Laszlo’s incredible legacy. The mood boards we created reflect this. We merged contemporary imagery with bold lighting that was later used on the product photo shoot. It speaks to Erno Laszlo’s sophistication and the sophistication of Erno Laszlo products.

The idea was to give the catalog a look and feel of modern sophistication without making a drastic change to the existing look.

Instead we highlighted important facts about the brand and the products. Using elegant and powerful typographic treatments, dramatic statements called out the facts.

A full-service site that offers all Erno Laszlo products as well as the Laszlomatic a system that lets you discover the products that are right for your skin. Might we add that we were also lucky enough to get samples of the products, making us all now true Laszlo devotees! Our beauty has been unlocked and we’re looking better than ever.
