Amy Helfand is an artist whose work is manifested as hand-tied rugs as well as sculpture. Using photography as a base, Amy produces abstract images and patterns which are then made into rugs.

Identity

Amy’s logo appears strong yet organic, reflecting her bold artwork so often inspired by nature and the landscape.

Collateral

Amy works with many mediums but her interest in abstraction and our relationship to landscape, real and imagined, has remained a constant throughout her career. Her business cards reflect this and translate Amy’s artwork into a new medium: letterpress on heavy card stock. The cards have a natural feel and the printing process ensures that no two cards are exactly alike.

A unified image appears when the four card designs are placed together.

Amy’s work has appeared in many shows and publications and she exhibits regularly at the ICFF. Amy’s client base includes private art collectors and consumers who use her rugs in their homes.

Her postcard was designed as a leave-behind to provide a sample of her work for architects, interior designers, artists and collectors.

Website

Amy is a prolific artist with a large body of work and our challenge was to present the work in a way that let the work stand out. In order to showcase her process along with her artwork, we created an automated system that links her blog posts to the finished artwork and gave Amy the option to categorise her work by medium.
