It takes a certain amount of wisdom and a lot of creativity to design clothes that are stylish yet functional enough for days of 20-hour sunlight, followed by bitterly cold nights. That’s something that Icelandic fashion duo Spaksmannsspjarir (literal translation: “Wise Man’s Clothing”) know a lot about. Their collections are made up of elegant, versatile garments using only high-quality textiles. None of their clothing is mass-produced, so the ecological impact is minimal. Spaksmannsspjarir approached SKAGGS to help them bring their legendary creations to life and to an international market.

E-Commerce Site
Since the studio was established in downtown Reykjavik in the early ’90s, their international popularity has grown steadily with each season, and recently the demand for their clothing has snowballed. The e-commerce site includes a full line of clothing and accessories with options to select size, style and color.

E-Newsletter and Collateral
Our work with Spaksmannsspjarir continues. We design their e-newsletter as part of our comprehensive communication and branding program. The newsletter is sent out bi-monthly, providing updates on new products and events, and we monitor the growth of their mailing list. In order to better target their consumers, SKAGGS provides Spaksmannsspjarir with copywriting and editing for their site, mailers and leave-behinds.
