Joe Guzman
Senior Designer
Joe serves as chief whiteboard doodler, lunchtime cook, designer, handyman and thermometer for SKAGGS. He provides all-around awesomeness to his side of the room and makes a mean pot of colon-cleansing chili.
Prior to joining SKAGGS, he worked as a slave for Nickelodeon, a beastly corporation that preys on our young. His work has appeared on sketchbooks, napkins and paper plates, among other paper goods. He was named “Master of Disaster” by his girlfriend during the writing of this short bio.
Joe studied at Rochester Institute of Technology in the constantly gray, constantly cloudy and constantly miserable city known as Rochester, NY.
Joe is one half of the killer SKAGGS barbecue team with his partner Nicole Confrey. Together with their bacon chocolate cheeseburgers, mojo relish and chili-rubbed chicken marinade, they’ve helped us build a reputation for the best damn barbecues in town.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys playing centerfield, worshiping at the altar of New York Yankees baseball, cooking food that is entirely too bad for his arteries, drinking beer with friends while watching sports he sometimes does and other times doesn’t care about, and then working out like a madman to make up for it. He can also be found playing incredibly dorky video games and watching entirely too much Food Network and History Channel.
