Sam “Sammy B” Edwards serves as Creative Director, Professional Rabble Rouser, Mac destroyer and “Pop Culture Guru” for SKAGGS. Named Sammy Beeswax by childhood friends, she provides memorable creative concepts and applies impeccable penmanship to the unimaginable quantities of post-its stuck to her computer screen.
A natural but unconventional creative, Sam won 2 awards for her outstanding creativity and her work held pride of place on her university’s “big-guns” wall for a record three years. Sam studied Graphic Design at Salford University in good old Manchester and didn’t leave her room (named the nest by her mother) for three years. Her nest like habits and addiction to creativity lead to a her graduation from University with a first class degree.
Her work has appeared in far too many publications to possibly ever mention and prior to joining SKAGGS, Sam cut her creative baby teeth at KW Marketing in Manchester and GQ Magazine in London. It was while in London that she realized she could not live there nor did she want to return to Manchester so she took on various jobs as a telephone tarot card reader, cocktail waitress at a gangsters’ bar and children’s teacher at an art gallery to fund her move to New York City, where she’s been for the last 6 years.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys a life of Rockband, Guitar Hero and decadence in her TriBeCa mansion.
