Paul Mitchell — The Next Generation
Skaggs | Wrong Place/Wrong Time | Wednesday, November 7th, 2007 @ in the late afternoonWe were recently approached to pitch to hair-product specialists PAUL MITCHELL for their range of products. Our concept focused on branding that spoke to tweenie girls about self-confidence and loving the hair they have already. Since there are a few strong-minded non-bra burning women at SKAGGS, this is a subject close to our hearts.
We presented mood boards focusing on contemporary role-models for young women—writers, models, singers and non-anorexic actresses—accompanied by graphic illustrations inspired by Jasper Goodall’s vibrant aesthetic. The result was a unique voice for Paul Mitchell’s first foray into the tweenage market.
Ultimately, the folks at Paul Mitchell decided on a different approach but we’re looking forward to seeing their direction.
