Volta
Music | Tuesday, March 20th, 2007 @ in the wee hoursBj??rk thought she could organize freedom and that it was very Scandinavian of her to do so. Now she is coming out with Volta, which I belive is her 11th studio album since her split with the Sugar Cubes. This time she will address her frustration and anger towards the world’s untamed greed and hypocrisy.
I’m anxious to hear the the lyrics and if this quote from a recent interview on MTV is any indication, I’m sure it will be another great album.
“I am, like many people, quite upset about how things are in the world now, and while I am a musician, I wanted to maybe be a spokesperson for the people in the street, who are pretty pissed off in general. I am just one of all these voices, and the fact that somebody like me has had enough shows you it is a pretty intense time we live in. Emotionally, I was just really, really hungry for something quite full-bloodied and visceral.”
